The Operation & Maintenance of the storage equipment is the responsibility of the owner of the equipment.
The following is a guideline to operation and maintenance:

• Refer to manufacturer’s drawing and technical data for maximum safe working loads
• Do not alter the structure without either -
  • Checking the effects against manufacturer’s technical data; or
  • Obtaining necessary approval from manufacturer
• Instruct operators on the correct usage of unit load handling equipment

NOTE: Damage due to impact can seriously impair safety
 

• Conduct regular inspections to check for –
  • Correct application and use;
  • Loads do not exceed safe working load; and
  • Damage due to impact

• If in doubt, always contact manufacturer

It is highly recommended to conduct regular safety audits to identify any hazards or areas where safety and protection are a concern and implement safety and/or protection strategies.
